In order for companies to effectively and proactively manage their social media marketing strategies they must employ a larger number of people dedicated to this task. The latest research suggests that despite the growing importance of social media in the enterprise, only half of all companies have developed written policies to govern social media use in the workplace. Getting the balance between openness and control right can be difficult, and many companies are still working through this process.
